Carla Classen

Carla Classen is an Intimacy Coordinator and also works as an Actor and Voice and Body Practitioner.

She brings a decade's worth of experience in the film, television and theatre industry to her work and is passionate about collaborative storytelling and embodied practices. Carla's approach to Intimacy Coordination is about creating safe environments that allow actors to play freely within their boundaries while helping directors achieve their vision.

Her experience as an actor (Mnet's Lioness and Kyknet's groundbreaking Hartklop) and voice and body work (Lessac Institute) has fueled her passion for Intimacy Coordination, understanding the connection between performance, the body and wellbeing. Carla's experience in lecturing, coupled with her BA Hons in Drama from the University of Pretoria (specialising in Movement and Theatremaking) has provided her with a strong academic underpinning to her work as well as an understanding of choreography and the body.
